Patrick Leslie was the second son of Andrew Leslie, 5th Earl of Rothes and his first wife Grizel Hamilton who had married in 1548.[1][2]
Patrick Leslie was appointed Commendator of the Abbey of Lindores as some point before 13 December 1569 when he was gifted a pension under that description.[3]
Patrick Leslie was created Lord Lindores in 1600.[1][3]
Patrick married Lady Jean Stewart (c. 1563 - ?), daughter of Robert Stewart, 1st Earl of Orkney. They had ten children:[3]
Patrick Leslie died between 1606 and 1609.[1][3]

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Sir Patrick Leslie of Pitcairlie, 1st. Lord Lindores (died between 22 May and 5 October 1608) was a member of the Scottish nobility.
He was the second son of Andrew Leslie, 5th. Earl of Rothes, and his first wife, Grizel Hamilton. He was Commendator of Lindores as early as 1569 and until 1600.
Sir Patrick married Lady Jean Stewart (c. 1563 - ?), a daughter of Robert Stewart, 1st. Earl of Orkney, illegitimate son (later legitimated by Act of the Scottish Parliament but without the right of succession to the Scottish Throne) of James V, King of Scots by Euphemia Elphinstone, and his wife Lady Janet Kennedy of Cassilis, Ayrshire. Their children were: (a) Patrick Leslie, 2nd. Lord Lindores (? - 1649) (b) Hon. Margaret Leslie, signed on 30 April 1609 a contract for the marriage to John Drummond, 2nd. Lord Maderty, and had issue (c) Hon. Robert Leslie of Kinclaven, Perthshire, and of Westminster, London (c. 1598 - c. 1675), married at St. Giles-in-the-Fields, London, on 4 November 1633, Catherine Basset (c. 1617 - aft. 1702), daughter of Edward Basset and wife Elizabeth Pigott, Gentleman of the Privy Chamber to King Charles I of Scotland and England, and had a daughter: (d) Charles Leslie (? - Grange, Edinburgh, Midlothian, 18 August 1704), married as his second wife William Dick (bap. Edinburgh, Midlothian, 6 October 1643 - c. March 1694), widow of Elizabeth Leslie (? - c. November 1674, bur. Greyfriars, Edinburgh, Midlothian, 24 November 1674), son of William Dick and wife Janet McMath, and had issue (e) David Leslie, 1st. Lord Newark (c. 1601-1682)
