James Leverton was born in St Eval, Cornwall, England.

Biography

James Leverton was baptized in 31 Aug 1729 in St Eval, Cornwall, the son of James Leverton and Elizabeth Mitchell.[1] On 19 Jan 1751, at St Eval, he married Elizabeth George,[2] the daughter of Martin George and Elizabeth Bennett. James and Elizabeth had six children, all born at St Eval:

John, bap. 24 Nov 1755,[5] bur. 19 Dec 1829[6]
James, bap. May 1758,[7] bur. 10 Feb 1829[8]
Mary, bap. 26 Oct 1760,[9] bur. 18 Jan 1841[10]
Ann, bap. 8 Jul 1763[11]
Frances, bap. 31 Mar 1766,[12] bur. 7 Jul 1838[13]

James passed away in 1799 and was buried at St Eval on 6 Jun of that year.[14]
