Biography
Maria was born in 1840. Maria is the child of James Lindley and Mary Shoris. [1]
The 1841England and Wales Census has Maria at age 0, living in East Lound, Haxey, Lincolnshire, England with her parents Thias and Mary along with four other siblings.
Maria was born in England, came to Canada with her parents and three of her six siblings abt. 1842. She married a James Borton, had about five children born in Canada (Harriston, Ontario) between 1865 and 1883 all were married in Michigan, the youngest married in 1887 so Maria and James must have moved to Michigan around 1885 and Maria remained there until her death in 1927.
The 1851 Canada Census shows Maria as age 12 living with her parents James 47, Mary 48 and six siblings.
