Biography
James was born on 28th July 1860 in Knightsbridge, Middlesex. He was the son of Charles Lindsay and Emilia Browne. His baptism took place at All Saints, Ennismore Gardens, Knightsbridge on 24th August 1860.[1] His father stated on the register that he was a Lieutenant Colonel and that the family were living at 49 Rutland Gate at the time. Both his birth and baptism dates were recorded.
