Biography

" Noah, b about 1797; left Cornish [Maine] by 1824 and said to have removed to Athens, OH., but probably moved to Knox [Maine] where his children were found. m. Dec 23, 1816 Hannah Whitten both of Cornish . m. (2) in [5 Nov] 1829 [Morgan, Ohio] Anna Essex, (according to the Linscott Gen.)." Four children: " page 69 Early Families of Cornish

Noted: Most of the information that is referenced for Ohio is applied to the wrong Noah Linscott. Noah Linscot died 1850 Ohio aged 79 = birth 1771. The Noah Linscott at at Athens, Ohio was, b. 1771 York, Maine. His wife was Mary Swett of Standish, Maine, m. 7 Nov 1793, in Standish. "He removed to Ohio in 1801. " He is this profile's uncle, Noah Linscot b. 1771, Linscot-109.

In the 1820 Ohio census Noah Linscot is in the aged 45 and up group.
