Biography

Sarah Ann Lutes was born on 1 May 1830 in Albert, New Brunswick, daughter of Peter Lutz (1785 - ~1872) and Elizabeth (Leaman) Lutz (~1792 - ~1881).

Her siblings were:

  1. Sarah Eunice (Lutes) Price (1817 - 1899)
  2. Margaret (Lutes) Wilson (1817 - 1903)
  3. Peter Lutz (1822 - 1870)
  4. Mary Jane (Lutz) Steeves (1828 - 1921)

Sarah married Moses Leaman (born in Albert in 1825; died in New Brunswick on 2 Dec 1900), son of Robert Leaman and Rachel Wilson, on 23 Oct 1851 in Coverdale, Albert. Their children were:

  1. James Peter Leaman (1858 - 1896)
  2. Elizabeth A. Leaman (1858 - 1918)
  3. Alexander Leaman (1868 - 1914).

Sarah died on 28 Apr 1914 in Lower Coverdale, Coverdale, Albert, New Brunswick, Canada aged 83.
