Bryan Mahon was born in Ireland.

Bryan Elidore Stacpoole Mahon was born about 22 November 1890[1]. He was the son of Thomas Mahon and Geraldine O'Brien.

In the England Census of 1891 Bryan E S Mahon was just an infant, recorded in the household of his Great Grandfather Lord Heytesbury at The Park, Heytesbury Cum, Wiltshire. Also in the household were his father Thomas G S Mahon (42), his mother Geraldine M Mahon (27) and his two sisters Hester C Mahon (3) and Geraldine F J Mahon (1).

By 1901, Bryan E S Mahon (aged 10 and a schoolboy) was recorded as a boarder at Cheam, Surrey, England.

His father Thomas passed away in 1906 and his mother remarried.

He served with the British Army during the 1st World War. He was with the Northumberland Fusiliers.

Bryan married Marjorie Hannah Rudkin in 1937 in Marylebone, London, England[2].

In the 1939 England and Wales Register, Bryan E S Mahon (aged 48) and his wife Marjorie Mahon (41) were living at Top Floor, 1 Bentinck Street, St Marylebone, London, England.

Occupation: Outdoor Representative Cereals Control Board

He was awarded an M.B.E. in the 1950 New Years Honours List (Civil Divison). He was the Supervising Inspector of Home Grown Cereals, Ministry of Food[3].

Bryan died in Kenya in 1966. His will was proved on 13 October 1966 at London to his sisteres Hester Charlotte Matthews, widow and Geraldine Frances Jane Henn, widow. Effects: £1899. Resealed Kenya 17 July 1967.
