Paid poll tax in 1796 & 1812. He bought land in Greene Co. in 1791 so was probably born between 1762 and 1772.
Marriage:
Sullivan Co. deeds Vol 11, p. 137 had Sheriff's sale of the interest Amos Malone has in his father, George's, land mentioning land on which "...Widow Malone" now lives adjoining land of John Smith.
In the 1830 census, Rachel is living near John Smith. Son, John was born in 1780 the speculation is they married before that.

Ruth Malone was married to J Taylor. She is mentioned in the land records of her father, George, in 1830 in Sullivan Co., TN. She had a brother and a sister living in Washington Co. at that time.
Vol 11, p. 455 John and Jemima (Malone) Leonard sold 100 acres, 19 Sep 1835, to Joseph Malone it being the interest of the heirs of George Malone: Ruth, Wm A, Joseph, George, Amos, Jemima, Solomon, & John named.
