Biography

John was born in 1787.


John was the son of David Marshall of Hilliston, Middlesex County, Massachusetts and Lucy Mason Marshall of Bethal, Oxford County, Maine. David was the son of Thomas Marshall and Beriah Grant Marshall. Lucy was the daughter of Moses Mason and Lydia Knapp. Lucy and David were married on 13 December 1750 in Hebron, Oxford County, Maine. Lucy and David had ten children. They were: David Marshall was born on 01 February 1779 in Bethel, Oxford County, Maine; Asabel Marshall was born on 09 March 1781 in Bethel, Oxford County, Maine; Luly or Lucy Marshall was born on 08 May 1783 in Hebron, Oxford County, Maine; Walter Marshall was born on 17 August 1785 in Hebron, Oxford County, Maine; John Marshall was born on 15 November 1787 in Hebron, Oxford County, Maine; Moses Marshall was born on 25 July 1789 in Hebron, Oxford County, Maine; Aaron Marshall was born on 19 July 1792 in Hebron, Oxford County, Maine; Nathan Marshall was born on 16 January 1795 in Hebron, Oxford County, Maine; Miriam Marshall was born in April 1798 in Hebron, Oxford County, Maine; and Theresa Marshall was born about 1800 in Hebron, Oxford County, Maine.
