Birth

Ronald Victor Martin was born at Johannesburg on 8 February 1921.^[1] He was the son of Cecil Victor Cameron Martin and Elizabeth Gertrude (Ralph) Martin.

War Service

During the Second World War, Ron served as a Private in the South African Land Forces, Service Number: 33265. He was captured on 21 June 1942 at Torbruk and was held at Stalag VIIIC Sagan, PoW number: 76401^[1]

Marriage

Ron married Thora Arnesen on 25 March 1948 at Durban, Natal, South Africa.^[2]

Death

Ron died about 1983 and was buried at Stellawood Cemetery and Crematorium, Durban, eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, age 61-62.^[3]
