Biography

William M Mason was born on 21 Dec 1863 in Wiota, Lafayette, Wisconsin as the son of James W Mason and Martha Ann Fulp.^[1][2]

Seven siblings were: Frank E, Samuel L, Charles H, Mary Ella, Marjorie Ann Mason Weaver, Clarence Austin Mason, and Howard Mason.^[1]

In 1880 William (17) and his 3 younger siblings - Samuel (15), Margie (9), and Clarence (2), were living in Blanchard, Lafayette, Wisconsin with their parents, James (47) and Martha (38), and maternal grandmother, Rachael Fulps (68)^[3]

William married Ella J Knorr Mason (1873-1963)^[1] on 21 Jul 1890.^[4]

Seven children were: Pearl Fay Mason Mitchell, Miradrene Irene (Mason) Loe (1892-1969), Florence Mason, Mazie Mason French, Murray Mason, Ilene Mason, and Wilma M Mason Purcell.^[1]

In 1905 William (42) and his wife Ella (32) had 5 children and were living in Blanchardville, Lafayette, Wisconsin.^[5]

William died after an 18 week illness, in Wisconsin, on 22 Mar 1909 at the age of 45 and was interred after Monday afternoon services at the M E Church, at Graceland Cemetery in Blanchardville, Lafayette, Wisconsin.^[1] His wife, 6 children: Pearl, Nina, Mazie, Murray, Samuel and Ilene, an aged mother, 2 brothers and 1 sister survived him in death.^[4]
