Communication Preferences:
I am interested in communicating with
anyone who shares the same ancestors.
My family tree is private but I want to collaborate on deep ancestors or historical figures.
Genealogy calls for family input. Collaboration is oft time the key to finding the missing link(s). Always use full original birth/baptismal name (not nicknames or assumed names). Use MAIDEN name for women. If you notice a mutual relative doesn't seem to have a profile, send me their full birth name, date of birth, place of birth, and the full birth names of each parent. I'll look to see if I have enough to create a profile. In addition, please send accurate marriage date/location and/or death date/location. Life 101 takes priority, but I will see what I can do. Remember if a piece of info is missing, it may be that I have no substantiating record. Wiki calls for substantiation for any info added to a profile. Unsubstantiated goes under research notes. Add notes there as well.
Replied twice to your personal message to me on 10/17, and sent you a PM 10/18. It looks like you haven't seen them as they explained why 2 new profiles for Maude were open. I have since done research on every name variation, and cannot find info on Doug or Sandy. Thus, the best source is from Maude's obit naming several grandkids that seem to coincide with all the last names listed for Sandy in Arlington- see the notes on her profile. I am marking both as still living, as the research didn't lead anywhere esle.

Karen, I note your queries regarding James Heffel (Heffel-3). I have added the immigration record as a source, which shows his name clearly as James Hiffield (with no middle name). James and his second wife Hannah had a son whom they named James Lyman Heffel, however, Hannah already had a son from her previous marriage named Lyman J. Hamilton. which shows that the name originated either from her line or that of her first husband, not from James Heffel. The Charles Heffel you mentioned was the younger brother of James, born 1828, died 1921.
Huge thank you, Andrew. I so appreciate your collaboration. I've changed the research notes. Hope I've got this straight. You mentioned a 2nd wife Hannah and her son James Lyman Heffel from her first marriage to a Hamilton. I know nothing about Hamilton, Hannah, or their son ... any chance you can create profiles for all 3 and add me to trusted list so that I can bring myself up to date at some point?
I made the change you noted on Nennhaus-4, but I'm not sure which flag you want. The syntax is set up, so just replace "Flags.gif" with the flag you wanted from Space:German Flags.
Lucas ... did you get the help you needed? I'm not a Swedish Record Guru, I can usually find a matched record but have no clue what it says. We have great Swedish G2G people who might better help you. I've been with Wiki a long time and just recently found that this is where I get messages. (dah) It was always below the viewing window and I never went this far down on my profile page to see that it was there. I have a lot of catching up to do. My main concern now is if I already addressed this with you OR that you got the help you requested.
I've "mucked about" editing some of your Weborg relatives. Your underlying research is excellent. Please correct any errors I've introduced or bring them to my attention and I'll try to do better.
Life 101 is in full gear for the balance of the year ... only 2 of us during all this sequestering, but my husband being 92, I make the most of every minute. I'll do work on my Weborgs in Jan 2022. Thanks so much for any contributions. I will look forward to my new "finds from Jim" .... I appreciated hearing from you and appreciate the collaborative spirit. THANKS. I'll be in touch.
Jim ... I just saw my oops moment ... I think Jan 2023 is more likely. I haven't had the chance to work on my Weborgs. Too many genealogic pots on the burner. I know I will appreciate anything and everything you offered when I get to them. I need undivided attention to work on the Weborg connections which is not now.
Do you know if anyone in the Weborg branch (or other relatives in Chautauqua) might have more info on Anna-Lena Samuelsdotter Wedberg? Anna-Lena lived amongst Weborgs for the first year she was in USA (Chautauqua) - working as a "5th maid" (according to my mother) and most likely wrote to them about her family after her move to Illinois. Do you know if the name Johan Albin Wedberg is known by anyone in your realm? He turns out to be my "secret uncle" - a brother, my father never knew he had. I'm obviously trying to piece together his life. Please stay in touch.
Hi Karen! Would you mind changing the Sweden Project Box on this profile https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Johansson-6600 to a sticker? It is explained how in a comment on the profile.
Thanks for watching over me, Maggie. Project Box is gone as requested. (obviously I didn't know what I was doing). Sweden sticker was a quick easy lesson, too. I so appreciate help with any new learning curve. Enjoy your holidays!
You asked what my Charles M Darnell's middle name was. It was Melvin. He never lived in Illinois, but there may be another relative with a similar name.
Karen, I see in the program how the different cells are displayed. I have changed the "name" to reflect their legal name in the public view. I'm still trying to fix the fact that the program thinks my brothers have different fathers.
Yes, Jim (James Garfield Jones) and Dan (Daniel Claude Jones) are our half brothers. Jim and Dan have the same father, Odah Garfield Jones. Born approx 1919 in Alabama, Warrioir (maybe, I know he lived there) and died around 1978. I have got it messed up somewhere as the program thinks they have different fathers. I'll get it right eventually.
315 and 325? the message refer to 360...

I have that death record. Please get back to me, as your email didn't work some weeks ago.
Also I did some changes to Johanna, which you might not see, because you're no profile manager there at the moment.
