Reuben married Charlotte Boone, daughter of Jeremiah Boone and Joice (Neville) Boone, on 27 Oct 1814, in Pulaski Co., KY, at the home of the bride's father.
WAR OF 1812: Reuben was a Captain in Samuel Tate's Co., 7th KY Mounted Volunteers. His widow, Charlotte, received his pension. Reuben participated in the Battle of Thames in Canada, on 5 Oct 1813, when the Indian chief Tecumseh was killed, and the British were defeated.
