David McClymont was born in Scotland.

David was born in Penninghame, Wigtownshire, Scotland, on July 11, 1846. His parents were Hugh McClymont and Mary Gourley. David was one of fourteen children. He was baptized on July 31, 1846 in Penninghame. He passed away at eight months of age on March 9, 1847.
