Biography
Sarah "Sally" was born in 1773 to James McCord and Jane Scruggs/Scroggs in North Carolina.
She married at age 16 in South Carolina,
Her husband was a reverend and a plantation owner, having several slaves listed in his will. He died in 1839, and the 1850 Census shows Sally living with her son Martin and his family.
Sally and her family eventually moved to Missouri, where she died in 1856 at age 82.
