Catherine McDonald (married names Donne, then Johns) was born in 1863 in Moyston, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of Mary (Ross) McDonald and Donald McDonald.^[1]

She married Thomas Donne in 1882 in Victoria.^[2] Their children were:^{[citation needed]}
