Anna Rosalie McIntosh was born on July 1, 1853, in Cheraw, South Carolina. She was well traveled and well educated. She was hired as tutor for George Washington Henderson's grandchildren. According to the Henderson Family History written by C. They were married in 1870 and they had seven children, but only five lived to adulthood.
She died on April 25, 1927, in Wood County, West Virginia, at the age of 73, and was buried in Boaz, West Virginia.
