William was born in 1839.
He was the son of Ellen UNDERSTORY and George McKAY and a twin to James Allan.
He married Annie SMART and they had nine children of whom eight lived to become adults.[1]
Three sons served in WW1.
In 1901, aged 61 y.o., William Cochrane McKAY passed away in Leeds, England.[2]
