Biography

William was born in 1773, the son of Alexander McKinstry and Sarah Unknown.

He married Elizabeth Ross of Mifflin Co^[1].

In a biography of his grandson, William [m. Lydia], he emigrated to Westmoreland briefly at an early age before moving to Armstrong Co two miles east of Apollo, PA. After three years he went on a business trip back to his "original home" where he died^[1]. He spent the last five years on a farm in Jefferson Co.^[1]. He had five children^[1]:

His widow, Elizabeth married 2nd to James Harel and had an additional four children: Jane, John W., Mary and David^[1].

He passed away allegedly in 1802.
