Biography
Robert McLean was born in Scotland.
Robert was born on the 30th November 1830 and later baptised on the 13th February 1831at Beith, Ayrshire. He was the son of Ninian McLean and Agnes Anderson. [1]
1841 census
In 1851, Robert (now 20 years of age) was lodging in West Kilbride, Ayrshire and working as a Cotton Handloom weaver. [2]
About two years later Robert married Agnes CAMERON on the 23rd July 1853 at West Kilbride. [3]

Robert likely died on the 7th December 1903 at Halfway Street, West Kilbride, Ayrshire. [4]
