Research Notes
Information from Shari (Gross) Evans: Florence McMann was my birth mother, I was adopted and name changed to Sharolyn Louise Gross.
My birth father was Clarence Carl Schulz who was born 27 December 1924 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Clarence died 13 July 1949 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. DNA testing confirms both Florence and Clarence as my biological parents. Florence and Clarence were never married.
The only correct information regarding person 14881 was Charles McMann listed as father. Unknown 14881 was listed as living, but actually died 4 October 2018.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Florence by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Florence:
Yes, this is the same person who is my birth mother. Two of my half siblings have also DNA tested with Ancestry. Richard Strait's test shows we are half siblings. Linda (Strait) Bruntlett's test is pending, she submitted in in December 2022. Craig and Charles have not done DNA testing.
UNKNOWN-148861 and McMann-288 appear to represent the same person because: LIVING UKNOWN-148861 represents an unknown daughter of Charles McMann that was imported with no information. If both profile managers of UNKNOWN-148861 and McMann-288 agree to a merge, this would be a way to eliminate this profile for LIVING UNKNOWN. Please let me know if you don't understand or if you have any questions. Thanks!
Florence Ocea McMann and Irene Vera McMann are full siblings. They are both deceased. Their parents were Ocea Delle Ford Bullard McMann and Charles McMann. Erma Bullard Horak and Mary Belle Bullard McMann are full sisters. Their parents were Ocea Delle Ford Bullard McMann and Thomas Franklin Bullard. Erma and Mary Belle are half sisters to Florence and Irene. All of the above people are deceased.
Florence Ocea McMann is my birth mother so these folks are my direct ancestors. Please let me know how to fix this so Florence doesn't appear to be a half sibling with herself and her full sister Irene.
Thanks!
Florence appears to be a half sibling with herself is because there are two profiles for her. If McMann-288 and McMann-10 are merged the problem will be solved.
This profile includes these statements: "This is my birth mother." "This is me." They are confusing. It is better to write something like "Florence is the mother of Shari (Gross) Evans."
Your comment names Florence's sisters, but the privacy levels for their profiles don't allow the rest of us to see them. If they are deceased, and you're the profile manager for them, I recommend that you change the privacy level on their profiles to "Open" so your comment will make more sense.
Please let me know if you don't understand, or if I can help.
Thanks for the suggestions. I’m kind of new at editing things and am making mistakes as I didn’t realize some things don’t show up to everyone. Part of my original issue is that I was given the exact same name as my maternal grandmother and originally registered (5 years ago) with that name, then forgot that our names were the same and really messed up stuff. I ended up changing my registration name to my legal adopted name, but some of my earlier errors are returning to bite me.
I’m not the profile manager for Erma and Mary Belle, the half sisters of my birth mother Florence McMann. How do we fix this? Sorry to trouble you so much, and many thanks for your understanding and assistance.
