Hi, I believe this might be my 3x great grandfather, who was listed on the birth of my 2x great grandmother (Lucy McNeill) as Niel McNeill. Her mother is listed as Pegy Currie, who was also listed as Margrat on the birth of some of the children.

https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/sources/GSG8-Q5F I've been having trouble tracking the family back and so far haven't put in entries for Lucy and Charles McLean Reid (her spouse) as there is so much confusion. Even Family Search has a lot of different entries for what appear to be the same people. Hopefully i've found the right line. I have Lucy's death notice, which lists her father as Daniel McNeill, which would account for the name Niel. Cheers

I believe you are correct. On Family Search, it appears multiple people created multiple profiles representing members of this family so I've gone ahead and merged them. No changes occurred as a result, however the IDs may have changed. This is the new ID for Daniel "Neil" McNeill: GVDK-5CC
