Biography

William McNeil was born circa 1822 at Montgomery County, New York, USA.

He married Hannah Griffin, daughter of Gaylord Griffin and Marium Crants, [1]on 20 Oct. 1847. Her father wrote to his brother Asa on Jan. 3, 1848:

"Hannah was married on the twenthe Day of October her husband name is William McNeal."[2]

He was a farmer when he and Hannah appeared on the census of 1 Aug. 1850 at Sullivan, Madison County, New York.[3] He was a farmer when he and Hannah appeared on the census of 4 July 1860 at Cicero, Onondaga Co., New York.[4] He was a farmer when he and Hannah appeared on the census of 9 Aug. 1870 at Cicero, Onondaga Co., New York.[5] He and Hannah appeared on the census of 11 June 1875 at Cicero, Onondaga County, New York.[6] He was a farmer when he and Hannah appeared on the census of 12 June 1880 at Cicero, Onondaga Co., New York.[7]
