Biography

Permelia Meador[1] was born about 1778, in Bedford, Virginia.[2] Her father, Jesse Meador, was 26 and her mother, Nancy Anderson, was 19. She married John Martin on 13 Jan 1795, in Franklin, Virginia.[3][4] They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 6 daughters. She lived in Monroe, Virginia in 1850.[2] She was still living there when her husband died in 1851.[5] A death record has not yet been found for her.
