Biography

Jean has Isleños ancestors.

 Jean Dolze Mendoza, son of Juan Josef Antonio Maxime Mendoza and Eliza Harrington, was born 19 Nov 1850 in Charenton, Louisiana.[1]

 Jean married Virginia Case, daughter of William Case, Sr. and Virginia Texada, on 21 Apr 1879 via Civil Union at the St. Martinville Courthouse in St. Martinville, Louisiana.[2] Their known children were:

  1. Amelia Mendoza:
    • Born: Feb 1880[3]
  2. Elisa Mendoza:
    • Born: 31 Dec 1881[4]
  3. John Mendoza:
    • Born: 11 Feb 1884[5]

 Jean died sometime before Oct 1886 when Virginie married his grand-nephew Euphemon Mendoza - son of Lucien A. Mendoza (son of Antoine Joseph Mendoza, Jr and Marie Silvanie Irma Senetiere) and Marie Rosalie Martha Vaughn.[6] However, no death or burial record has been found as of 29 Apr 2020.
