Lydia Elizabeth Merritt was born on September 14, 1833, in Tennessee. She married Jahiel Wyatt Fox on September 12, 1850, in Grayson, Texas. They had eight children in 20 years. She died on April 2, 1882, in Mullin, Texas, at the age of 48, and was buried there.

I would go with the first two sources. I see the graveyard memorial for Jaheil Wyatt Fox shows maiden name Marriott. When did that memorial go up? Who provided the name Marriott?
