Seth was baptised on 25 December 1843 at St. Peter's Church in Bramley, Yorkshire. He passed away on April 14, 1893 in Hunslet and is buried in the Woodhouse Hill Cemetery in Leeds, West Yorkshhire, England.[1][2][3]
He lived on Town Street in Leeds, with his parents, John and Mercy when the census was taken in 1841.[4] In 1851 Seth was living with his brother John at his grandmother Sarah's home on Broad Lane in Bramley, Yorkshire, Yorkshire (West Riding), England.[5] When the census was taken during 1861 he is listed as the son of widow, Mercy Merritt. He was a 20 year old forgemen and they lived on Mulberry Terrace in Hunslet, Yorkshire (West Riding),England.[6] In 1871 was living at 7 Laura Street in Wortley, Yorkshire, working as a forgeman. In 1881 he lived at 21 Higgins Building in Holbeck, Yorkshire, working as a forgeman. In 1891 was living at 19 Camberley Street in Hunslet, Yorkshire, working as a mechanic fitter. In 1891 he lived with his family on Camberley Street in Hunslet, Yorkshire, England.[7]
