Hendrick was baptized in the Reformed Dutch Church of New York on 2 August 1676, recorded as the child of Jan Adamszen and Geertruijd Dircx.[1][2]
Hendrick Metselaer married Johanna Clara Klein (called Johanna Clark Eijck in the marriage record) in the Reformed Dutch Church on 16 October 1698, after registering banns on 30 September.[3] They had one recorded child, son Johannis, baptized in 1699.
He died before May 1707, when his wife Johanna Clara Kleyn was described as the widow of N. N. Metselaar at her marriage to Johannes Dellomont.[4]

Research Notes
LNAB is Metselaer, the name recorded for Hendrick at his marriage. At Hendrick's baptism, his father was recorded with his patronymic name, so we use the marriage record as the first record of Hendrick's last name. Smith-62120 23:00, 14 March 2024 (UTC)
