Anna (Meylin) Eby was born about 16 Jan 1691 in Zürich, Switzerland, daughter of Martin Meylin (1665 - 1718) and Anna Rutgen (~1665 - ~1742).

Her brother was Martin Mylin Jr (1691 - 1751).

Anna married Peter Eby (1690 - 1749) in 1719 in Pennsylvania. Their children were:

  1. Christian Eby (~1720 - 1805)
  2. Jacob Eby (~1728 - 1794)
  3. Henry Eby (~1732 - 1806)
  4. Abraham Eby (1735 - 1815)
  5. Isaac Eby (1737 - 1767)
  6. Barbara Eby (1739 - ~1770).

Research Notes

Place of death was changed to Lancaster County; beyond that, a more specific location has yet to be discovered.

Prior to the merge, Anna Meylin was showing a birth year of 1699; conflicting with her Find A Grave Memorial of a modern headstone. This, most likely, came from the following:

Name: Anna Meylin Gender: Female Birth Place: Sz Birth Year: 1699 Spouse Name: Peter Eby Spouse Birth Place: Sz Spouse Birth Year: 1690 Marriage Year: 1719 Marriage State: PA [2]

Research of June B Hartzell, 4th great-grandaughter of Anna Meylin, found her father, Martin Meylin b. 1674 Zurich, Switzerland and d. 1731 Lampeter, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [3] June's research also shows Anna Meylin's mother as Anna Rutschne.

Mennonite Vital Records, sadly, does not show dates for Anna. However, there are dates for Martin Meylin. Meylin, Martin Sr 1670-1749 and pg. 2 Meylin, Martin Sr. This record also indicates Anna had two brothers, both named Martin; the younger lived to about the age of 4 years.
