Biography

Mary was a Friend (Quaker)

Mary was the daughter of Nathaniel Miers, a London tinplate worker, and Mary. She was born in Miles Crooked Lane, London on 31 December 1706.[1][2]

On 10 August 1727 Mary married William Lunn at Bull and Mouth Quaker Meeting House, London. The Quaker marriage certificate describes him as a wine cooper of Houndsditch, London, son of John Lunn, wine cooper of Houyndsdtich, and Susanna; and her as daughter Nathaniel Miers, a London tinplate worker, and Mary.[3] They had the following children:

  • Mary, born at Hounsditch, London on 29 November (Quaker 9th month) 1728[4][5]
  • Hannah, born in the parish of St Botolph's, Aldgate, London on 7 January 1729/30 (Quaker 11th month 1729)[6][7]

William Lunn died on 29 August (Quaker 6th month) 1730.[8]
