On 14 March (Quaker 1st month) 1705/6 Nathaniel married Mary Hick at Devonshire House Quaker Meeting, London. The Quaker marriage record describes him as a tinplate worker of London, son of James Miers of Beacliff (possibly meaning Baycliff), Lancashire, yeoman; and her as of the parish of St Dionis Backchurch, London, daughter of Joseph Hick, yeoman, of Guilford, Surrey, deceased.[1][2] They had at least one child:
Mary, born in Miles Crooked Lane, London on 31 December 1706[3][4]
Nathaniel died of a fever on 25 July (Quaker 5th month) 1738 and was buried on 30 July at Bunhill Fields Quaker burial ground, London. The Quaker death and burial record describes him as of Crooked Lane, London, and gives his age as about 73, pointing to a birth year of about 1665.[5][6]
