I saw that you modified the profile for John Gossett (Gossett-226). I'm pretty sure this is the same John Gossett as one managed by the Southern Pioneers Project (Gossett-143). I posted comments on both profiles a couple of months ago, but perhaps those aren't really read?
Also, just curious -- what sort of doctor are you? (PhD, M.D., D.Sc.)
I was just tidying up suggestions on England profiles about abbreviated places, and know nothing about this profile. If you know enough to see these two are identical, then just propose a merge. That will get the attention of the Southern Pioneers Project.
HI Andrew, Thanks for your work on WikiTree. I noticed you have made changes to multiple profiles for which I am the manager. Mostly the edits are "fix template errors" - perhaps you can let me know what I am doing incorrectly? It would help me to write better profiles and possibly generate fewer errors to be corrected since it appears I am consistently doing something that needs fixing. Thanks! Kathy
I looked at what I did yesterday. The first one I saw was this change https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Ashmore-1299&diff=192629455&oldid=186386503 where you had the Ancestry sharing template, but it started with one curly bracket like this { rather than two like this {{. You should be able to see exactly what I did on others by going to the changes tab and looking for the marked text. I think [[Jenkin-1444[[, Jenkin-1445 and Jenkin-1439 had the same problem. Barrett-13441 and Roskruge-141 also had single rather than double curly brackets but for the FamilySearch Image template. I'm not sure if there were any others of yours, as there is no way to locate profile managers in my contributions list. It's so easy to make typos like this, then copy the citation to several profiles, and have a load of fixing to do when the suggestions report comes out.
Thanks for your contributions to Puritan Great Migration (PGM) project profiles.
Like all WikiTree projects we check in with team members periodically to find out about their continued interest in the project. Would you please respond by February 5, 2024, to let us know about your interest:
1. Would you like to continue as a PGM project team member?;
2. Do you have any suggestions for PGM Project priorities in the next year (optional)?;
3. Do you have interest in taking a more active role within the PGM project, and if so, what you might be interested in doing (optional)?
Dr Andrew great work. Do you know why Elizabeth Hilton was removed as a daughter for Felicia Claxton’s father Robert Claxton? Pedigrees all confirm it was Elizabeth Hilton. If you can can you restore Elizabeth Hilton as the mother?
I'm not sure why you are asking me about these profiles as I have never edited them. As far as I can see Elizabeth (Hilton) Claxton is still shown as wife of Robert/Ralph Claxton, but has been removed as mother of his children. The answer as to why is on Elizabeth's profile:
Elizabeth Hilton, daughter of Sir William Hilton of Hilton (d. 1457), is the second wife of Sir Robert (Ralph) Claxton (d. 1484; p.m. inq 04 Oct 1491), knt. of Horden, Claxton and Dilston. He was previously married to Anne, daughter of William Stapleton, who was still living in 1479.
The quoted IPM for Elizabeth makes it clear that her husband's children were much too old to have been born after 1479, so she was not their mother.
Thank you for your quick response! The reason why I asked you is because you were the last person who edited the page according to the profile. So what you’re saying is the mother of Felicia was probably the daughter of Stapleton, correct? If so is there a way to connect that lineage? I don’t have pre-1500 privileges so I can’t even get my medieval Italian ancestry up that I’d love to show off.
I saw that you modified the profile for John Gossett (Gossett-226). I'm pretty sure this is the same John Gossett as one managed by the Southern Pioneers Project (Gossett-143). I posted comments on both profiles a couple of months ago, but perhaps those aren't really read?

I have a DPhil in Archaeology.
It's a Wikipedia template but not a Wikitree template. I find it easiest to use the Wikitree Sourcer to generate citations on FreeBMD.

1. Yes 2. No 3. No, I'm content with my current level of involvement.

The quoted IPM for Elizabeth makes it clear that her husband's children were much too old to have been born after 1479, so she was not their mother.
But yes, the implication of what is written there is that Anne Stapleton was their mother.
