Biography

Joseph was born about 1709. Joseph is the child of Thomas Millard and Barbara Harrison. Joseph passed away about 1781. [1]

  • Hannah - October 26, 1751. She died August 22, 1769 new style at 5:40 in the morning, aged 17 years, 7 months and 16 days
  • Samuel, , their second son of that name, was born on the first day of the first month 1755 new style at 4:00 in the afternoon and departed this life the fourth day of the second month 1757 aged two years, one month and two days.

Location: Built a mill at Pottstown. In 1787 he moved to Nantmel Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania where he also owned a mill. He was justice of the Peace from 179 7 to 1816.

Buried on the old farm..only a wonderful stone house whose ruin remains still sitting on a hill. (Source - Doris Hopkins who has visited the spot)

Thomas, son of Joseph and Hannah, was born September 18, 1738 at 3:00 in the afternoon. Samuel, son of Joseph and Hannah, was born April 4, 1741 on the third day of the week at 5:00 in the morning. Joseph Jr., son of Joseph and Hannah, was born June 6, 1743 on the seventh day of the week at 10:00 in the morning. James, son of Joseph and Hannah, was born August 30, 1746 on the fifth day of the week at 1:00 in the morning. Barbara, daughter of Joseph and Hannah, was born March 25, 1749 at 3:00 in the morning. Hannah, daughter of Joseph and Hannah, was born October 26, 1751 at 11:00 at night old style. She died August 22, 1769 new style at 5:40 in the morning, aged 17 years, 7 months and 16 days. Samuel, son of Joseph and Hannah, thier second son of that name, was born on the first day of the first month 1755 new style at 4:00 in the afternoon and departed this life the fourth day of the second month 1757 aged two years, one month and two days. Hannah Millard, mother of the above named children, was born on August 8, 1719 at Crassecks in East Jersey and departed this life on the 19th day of the first month 1757 aged 38 years five months and 11 days. CHILDREN OF JOSEPH AND MARY Millard   Ann was born March 19, 1761 at 4:15 in the afternoon.   Elizabeth was born October 17, 1763 at 4:00 in the afternoon.   Timothy was born June 29, 1766 at 4:00 in the afternoon.   Martha was born November 1, 1768 at 4:00 in the morning.   Benjamin was born December 20, 1770 at 4:00 in the afternoon and died April 19 aged three months and 29 days.

Find-a grave - claims that he is buried with his wife Hannah Lincoln in Exeter Friends Cemetery (there are no headstones there). [3]
