LTC Sherwood Bonner Miller's born on 28 Jan 1922 in South Carolina, USA. He was the son of William ClarkeMiller Margaret Hamilton Henry. He married Jacqueline Bethea Britton on 1 Oct 1946 in Chester, South Carolina, USA.

  • Mr. Miller, 85, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at Carmel Hills Retirement Center. He was born on January 28, 1922 in Chester, SC, the son of William C. Miller, Sr. and Hamilton Henry Miller.

Mr. Miller, a 1943 Honor Graduate of Erskine College, served in the US Army Air Corps as a B-26 pilot in the European Theater in World War II and retired as a Lt. Col. in the Air Force Reserves. Over a span of 58 years, he owned and operated several small businesses in Lancaster and Chester, SC. His life was completely committed to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; he was a member of the First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church of Lancaster, SC where he served as an elder, deacon, treasurer of the Church, Clerk of the Session, teacher and superintendent of Sunday School and was active in Missions and Prayer Outreach Projects of the Church. He enjoyed many hobbies including model airplanes, Ham Radio, music and singing, bird watching, and azalea cultivation, but his faith and family were the focus of his life. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jacqueline Britton Miller; his daughter, Dr. Edith Miller Hall, her husband James B. Hall, and two grandsons, Jamie and Will Hall of Charlotte; three brothers, Robert W. Miller (Doris) of Kingsport TN, John H. Miller of Bartar FL and Dalton Miller (Mae Lee) of Roanoke VA; and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Miller of Clemson, SC, and William Clarke Miller, Jr. of Litchfield, SC.
