Biography
Charles headstone gives his birthdate as 10 Jul 1880. It is in error, as his brother John was born in 1880 according to the 1880 federal census, and Charles isn't listed with the family. Charles isn't listed until the 1900 federal census, where he is listed as Jul 1882. Charles WWI draft registration card lists his birthdate as 10 Jul 1882.
Charles birth place is less certain. In 1880, his family was living in Young County, Texas. Dorman Holub of Young County History stated Solomon sold out and left Young County for good in 1881. Charles is listed as being born in New Mexico in the 1900 federal census; in the 1910 and 1920 federal censuses, he claimed Texas.
He passed away in 1925.
