The will of John Miller was dated March 1812 and proved at a Court of Hustings held for the Town of Lynchburg 5th November 1812. He named his wife Mary as the widow of Benjamin Johnson, leaving her in the care of his son-in-law Thomas Wiatt and beloved daughter Sarah Wiatt. He named his deceased daughter Sukey, who was wife to Anselm Lynch, and their five children, the widow and children of his deceased son Elijah Miller, the widow and children of his deceased son John Miller, and the family of son Henry Miller. His son Pleasant M. Miller and Thomas Wiatt were named as his executors.[1]

It seems odd that John would specify his wife was the widow of Benjamin Johnson 40 plus years after their marriage. The daughter Susan Lynch, named in his will, has an existing stone in Lynch Cemetery. I see no source for her 22 April 1771 birth and will attempt to find that, and his alleged 25 Feb 1771 marriage record, because those two dates make no sense. Ancestry link to his will for now.
