Early Life

Mary was born about 1737.

Marriage

She married John Bullock (abt.1738-abt.1799) in Granville, North Carolina on 12 Nov 1759.[1] and they had the following children who were mentioned in his will[2]:

Slaves

Mary Mitchell was a Slave Owner, her husband, John, left her nine slaves in his will.[3] Women were not allowed to "own" property, so he "lent" her the slaves (as well as land and other household items) to use until the time of her death (or remarriage) when they would be divided between his other children.
