Ann Mompesson was daughter of John Mompesson of Bathampton Wiley and his wife, Alice Leigh or Ley. She was sister and co-heir of Edmond Mompesson.[1][2]
She married William Wayte of Waighte.[1][2]
Anne died about 1571. In her will, she mentioned a number of children. Surnames of the daughters are hard to make out, but their first names were Elizabeth (Norton), Eleanor (Brymmyge?), Susan (Wolla...?), Honor, Mary (Cres..ll?), Margaret (Perkins or Parkins?). There does not appear to be any mention of sons. (daughters, Eleanor Bruning, Mary Cresswell, Honor Wayte, Margaret Perkins, Elizabeth Norton and Susan Wollascot) [3]
Elizabeth, wife of Sir Richard Norton is noted as daughter and heir of William and Ann and inherited the Manor of Seagry. [4]
