Biography

His mother was still living in 1830, and he lived in Butler Co., KY by 1833[1], probably after she passed away. By the time his will was recorded, Nancy was probably deceased, because she isn't mentioned. He only mentions his daughter, Jane Martin by name because he made special provision for her and her children because she was already widowed. Otherwise the specifies what remains to be divided equally between "all my children".[2]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with William:

Moore-77798 and Moore-5080 do not represent the same person because: Not the same person. Different parent / spouse

Moore-12194 and Moore-5080 appear to represent the same person because: David, birth date for Moore-12194 is too late, but it didn't include Nancy as his wife. Barbara McKinney is his mother, but John Moore 3rd with parents, wife, and children from New York is an unlikely bigamous situation probably resulting from an improper merge.

Thanks, Brett. I have approved the merge and also added you as manager so that you can complete the merge as you see fit, either when the other manager approves or in 30 days (whichever comes first).
