William Mosby, of Henrico Co., died about 1809; Captain Continental Army three years, Colonel Henrico Militia at time of Gabriel's Insurrection; married 1784, Rebecca, daughter of Thomas Williamson, of Henrico Co., and had issue: Nancy W. Mosby, married William B. Chamberlayne .


The will of William Mosby, of Henrico County, dated June 4, 1807, probated Jan. 1, 1810, names brothers Joseph, Hezekiah and Samuel Mosby; Daughter Nancy W. Chamberlayne; son-in-law William B. Chamberlayne

William was born about 1747. He was the son of John Mosby and Lucy Allen. He married Rebecca Williamson on March 29, 1784, He passed away bef Jan 1810.
