Biography

Ashley T. Moseley was born 27 June 1851^[1] in Toombs County, Georgia^[2], the son of Elisha Moseley and Elizabeth Waters.

He appears on the 1860^[3] in the household of his father.

In 1870^[4], his mother is head of household.

He married Missouri Gordon on February 20, 1873, in Emanuel County, Georgia^[5]. They lived in Montgomery County, Georgia in 1880 with sons Lisha McCauley, Alexander P., and John Wallace^[6]. Still in Bradford County in 1900, they had children Preston, Carl, Lawrence, Marvin, and Bell living at home, as well as a granddaughter, Marry Moseley^[7].

In 1910 he lived in Starke, Florida with his wife and children Lawrence, Marvin, Belle, and grandson Joe^[8]. (Note: An Ashley Moseley appears a few weeks later in the household of William Connell in Montgomery County, Georgia^[9]. I am not convinced this is the same person. More research needed. DKM)

He died 30 March 1927 in Union County, Florida^[10], and was buried in Kingsley Lake Cemetery, Clay County, Florida^[2][1].
