In 1910[4], and 1920[5], they lived in Emanuel County with their children. In 1920, their widowed daughter Lizzie brought her sons Elisha and Thomas with her to live with her parents. They lived in Toombs County in 1930 with daughter Eunie living at home[6].
He was named next of kin on his son Vallard's World War I draft registration[7].
He passed away 17 May 1930 and was buried in Harrell Cemetery, Oak Park, Emanuel County, Georgia[1]. The inscription reads:
"He is gone from our home,
but not from our hearts."
He was mentioned on his son Vallard's death certificate in 1963[8].
