Biography

Grace was a Friend (Quaker)

Birth

Grace Mott was born 30 March 1739 in Scituate Mass[1] Grace married Elkanah Parris in Scituate Mass 20 December 1760[2]. Elkanah and Grace established their family in Williamstown Mass. [3] Elkanah and Grace then moved most of their family to Danby Vermont (just a few towns farther North) where Elkanah is recognized as a founding member of the Quakers there.[4][5] The History of Danby shows Grace and Elkanah arriving 1797 and lists their children, all born in Williamstown Mass as:[5]

Death

Grace Mott is the daughter of Ebenezer Mott and Deborah Mott, born 30 March, 1739. Ref: Scituate, MA Town & Vital Records, 1620-1988.


Grace Mott and Elkena Parris, late of Connecticut, were married 20 Dec 1760. Ref: Scituate, MA Town & Vital Records, 1620-1988.

I believe Grace's mother's maiden name was Atwood, but I do not have the citation at hand. I'm a newbie here, and need to study proper format for entering information before I post too much.
