John Haynes Mounts was born on 1 Jan 1874 in Texas, son of Col. William Harry Mounts (1833 - 1889) and Martha Elizabeth (Haynes) Mounts (1838 - 1914).
John married Kate Laura Anderson , daughter of Richard Barkley Anderson and Nannie Elizabeth Huey, on 15 Oct 1896. Their children were:
- Providence R Mounts (1903 - 1969)
- Ena K Mounts (1907 - )
- Earnest A Mounts (1907 - ).
John died in Sep 1931 in Oklahoma aged ~57.
