Julia Ann Murphy was born in Ohio about 1822/23, the daughter of ____________ Murphy and __________ (__________) Murphy. Her parents brought the family from Ohio to Illinois sometime before 1840, where they settled in Stark County, Illinois. William Franklin White and Julia Ann (listed as Julian) Murphy were married on December 8, 1840 in Stark County, Illinois. William Franklin White was born c. 1820/21 in Indiana, the son of Hugh White and Mary (Johnson) White, who brought the White family to northern Peoria County from Indiana in 1833. There they settled near what would become the town of Princeville in an area known then as Prince's Grove. Four sons are believed to have been born to William Franklin White and Julia Ann (Murphy) White.
