James was born in Brady, Saginaw, on 16th March 1883, the son of James Murray(b. Ireland) and Harriet Murray(b. Canada)
[1][2].
In 1900 he is on the family farm in Brady Township, Saginaw, Michigan (the census transcript is marked 'Oakley', one of the main villages of the township).[3]:
In 1910 he is still with his parents on the family farm at Brady[4].
Still in Brady in 1940, living with widowed sister Bessie Walter.
He died on 3rd December 1970[5], and is buried with "Blanche I. Murray" in Wildwood Cemetery, Chesaning, Plot: North-2 050[2]. His last place of residence was Chesaning, Saginaw[5].
Research Notes
Names. The birth and death records have just "James Murray" - no mention of a middle name. In the 1900 census he is listed as "Kenny J. Murray". He is James K. Murray in the 1910 census and on his gravestone[2].
