Biography

Martha (Murrell) Barnes was born in Texas.

Mattie was born on 7 Oct 1894 in Smithfield, Texas. [1]

In 1900, at the age of 5, Mattie was listed on the United States Federal Census with her father, James Jasper Murrell-1289 and her mother, Amanda May Hassell.[2]

In 1910, Mattie lived in Fort Worth, Tarrant, Texas with her parents, two brothers and grandfather.[3]

In 1930, Mattie was a practical nurse and lived in Fort Worth, Tarrant, Texas with her husband, three sons and two daughters.[4]
