Permelia Myers was born in May 1832 in Licking Co., Ohio. She is the daughter of Joseph Myers and Elizabeth Peters.

In 1913, Permelia was mentioned as a daughter of Betsy Peters Myers in a public notice for the Frederick Phillips Estate. The estate administrator was trying to locate the lineal descendants of Lydia Phillips Peters - a sister of John Phillips, deceased father of Frederick Phillips.[7]

She died 3 February 1914 supposedly in Gassaway, West Virginia. This is stated on Green Lawn Cemetery records -- no death record can be found in Ohio or West Virginia. Additionally, she can not be found in 1910 census. She is buried in Green Lawn Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio.[8]
