Stanley Leroy Nichols was born on 14 Jan. 1917^[1] at Madison, Dane Co., Wisconsin, USA.^[2] He and his parents appeared on the census of 17 Jan. 1920 in the household of his grandparents, George T. Godden and Etta (--?--) Godden, at 1230 Dayton St., Madison, Dane Co., Wisconsin.^[3] He appeared on the census of 16 April 1930 in the household of his parents, Arthur Henry Nichols and Florence (Godden) Nichols, at Madison, Dane Co., Wisconsin.^[4] He was an office clerk at a packing house office when he appeared on the census of 8 April 1940 in the household of his parents at Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin.^[5] He began military service in the US Army on 17 March 1941 at Milwaukee, Milwaukee Co., Wisconsin.^[6] He ended military service on 1 Oct. 1945.^[7]

He died on 3 April 1995^[1] at McFarland, Dane Co., Wisconsin, at age 78.^[2]
