Memorial card |
Eliza Perrey was remembered by her granddaughter, Grace Setford (nee Perrey) for her big tabby cat which used to hang around her neck when she would go for a walk. She was a nice lady and would look after her grandchildren when their mother had to visit the dentist. Grace Setford has memories of sitting by the fire with the kettle whistling. The Chingford Mount Cemetery was at the back of Grandma Perrey's house, separated by a lane. A family of acrobats from the circus lived next door and they used to practice in the lane behind the house. Passing through the cemetery, you would reach fields on the other side and Grace has memories of picnics held in these fields.
Her memorial card says she was interred at Clacton Cemetery. Lauren Thomson created a memorial for her over on Find a Grave and requested a photo be taken. September 16, 2022 "Colin" reported that he had searched the cemetery and could not find the grave.
